Nirvana started dancing at the age of 3 and as a child she completed her Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Examinations from Pre Primary through to Advanced, She attended a performing arts high school and continued to immerse herself in both curricular and extra curricular performance opportunities.
Nirvana studied a double degree at the University of N.S.W, Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and Bachelor of Education (Dance, Theatre and Performance Studies). During her time at University she received training from many of Australia's most sought after and well respected teachers and choreographers. In her 3rd year of University Nirvana deferred her studies to take up a contract Dancing professionally overseas. Nirvana returned to Australia to complete 4th year of studies and to graduate with her University Degree in 2007.
Nirvana holds her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with The Royal Academy of Dance (London), enabling her to enter students for their RAD Classical Ballet Examinations. She regularly attends RAD professional developments courses to ensure her knowledge of the syllabi is current.
She is a tutor in Dance Education at the University of Wollongong.
She is a member of Australian Dance Adjudicators and is qualified to adjudicate in all styles of Dance.
Nirvana is a Secondary School Dance and Drama teacher, she has an outstanding student achievement record.
Nirvana is also a wife and a Mummy to a beautiful little boy.
Imparting the knowledge, experiences and joy of Dance is Nirvana's passion. She lives and breathes Dance and is excited to continue inspiring and training the Dancers of the Shoalhaven.
